“The Third Millennium: Ukrainian poetry”

One of key events on the “Book Contracts-2012” was presentation of book series “The Third Millennium: Ukrainian poetry” by the Head of Supervisory Board of the International Charitable Fund “Ukraine 3000” Kateryna Yushchenko. The series was founded in cooperation by the Fund and publishing house “Bukrek” only last year, but now there actually made two books of high-quality poetry.

The series opens by the book of laureate of Shevchenko Award Leonid Talalay “Homeless flow” (2011).

The second book is “Wind divine” by the poet Igor Rymaruk (2012). The collection comprised everything written by the poet in the third millennium and saved by compiler and his wife Larissa Andrievska-Rymaruk - previously unpublished works and unfinished materials.

At the presentation readers expressed gratitude to the Fund for its financial support in the publication of best poetic works of Ukrainian authors.

“Theory and History of Political Science: the global and national experience”

Department of History, Political Science and International Studies of Chernivtsi National University is exploring actual problems of political science for many years and also organizing international conferences and discussions on political issues. And idea to produce a collection based on the materials of that discussions was born. That's how the world saw the first book of “Political science and social studies”, which later turned into a series. New collections from the series are publishing every year.

Volume XI of the series called “Theory and History of Political Science: the global and national experience”, which was released in 2012, contains with the works of Ukrainian, German, Romanian, Belarusian scientists. In the collection discussed a number of topical problems of modern political science, including the study of electoral processes, conceptualization of democratic processes, relationships between globalization and regionalization and others.

That’s why this edition continues the tradition of thematic editions of collections of scientific works and balances out the achievements of experienced local and foreign scientists.

 

“Ukrainian folk tales” were presented on “Book Contracts”. It’s a Book-contender for UNESCO heritage object.

At the international exhibition “Book Contracts”, organized by the State Committee for Television and Broadcasting of Ukraine, was presented 40-volume edition of “Ukrainian folk tales” - contender for UNESCO Intangible Heritage object.

This series was published in publishing house “Bukrek”. The compiler of series is an ethnographer and historian Mykola Zinchuk who is collecting folk art from all over Ukraine since the 1970s.
